Training for New Faculty

This teaching reform program is co-organized and developed by CTLD, the Division of Academic Affairs and Human Resource Division.

Contents: a semester-long training mainly focuses on pedagogy and effective practice, including the New Faculty Training Initiatives, Authentic Class Observation & Review, Microteaching, Mid-term Students Evaluation and New Teaching Talents Competition; those new faculty who have fully participation in this program and satisfied performance will be awarded a Certificate of Basic Training for New Faculty by CLTD.

Objectives: with the recent goal of enhancing the new faculty’s teaching ability in an effective way, and the ultimate one of facilitating campus-wide educational reform and improving teaching quality. The semester-long training activities provide supports all the way for teachers newly standing at the platform under the supervision of the Doing-Reflecting-Doing model.
